Common questions

It says the OAuth client is not configured

The extension needs its Google client id set. If you see this on a Web Store install, it is a packaging bug — email me and I will ship a fix.

Deleted mail is not gone from my storage

Move to Trash is the default, and Gmail keeps trashed mail for 30 days. Empty the Trash in Gmail to reclaim the space immediately, or use permanent delete inside the extension.

I deleted the wrong sender

Press Undo last cleanup in the dashboard. It restores everything that run touched, for up to 30 days.

An unsubscribe did not work

Some senders only publish a mailto: unsubscribe. The extension does not hold the permission to send mail on your behalf, so it hands those to you as a link instead of pretending to act.

The scan is slow on a huge mailbox

Cap the scan at 5,000 or 25,000 messages first. Results are cached, so reopening the dashboard is instant.
