The short version

This extension reads the Google Maps page you are already looking at, on your screen, when you press a button. The results stay on your computer. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and there is nothing for us to collect, sell or lose.

What the extension reads

When — and only when — you click Extract results, the extension reads the business listings that Google Maps has already rendered in your browser: name, category, rating, review count, address, phone number, website, opening hours, price level, coordinates and the Maps identifiers contained in each listing's own link.

It does not read any other tab, any other site, your browsing history, your Google account, your cookies, or anything on a Maps page other than the results list.

What leaves your computer

In normal use, nothing. The extension has no server, no account, no licence check and no analytics, so with the default settings it makes no outbound request of any kind. There is exactly one exception, and you have to turn it on yourself:

1. Email lookup, only if you switch it on. If you enable Find email addresses, your browser requests the homepage and contact page of the business websites in your own results — the same pages you could open by clicking the link yourself — and searches the returned HTML for an email address. These requests go directly from your browser to those businesses' websites. They do not pass through us. This feature is off by default and requires a separate Chrome permission that you must grant explicitly.
2. Your downloads. CSV and JSON files are written by Chrome to the download folder you chose. They are never uploaded anywhere.

There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising SDK, no fingerprinting and no remote code. The extension makes no request to any server we control, because we do not run one.

What is stored, and where

Everything is stored by Chrome, on your machine:

• Settings (column layout, export options, row cap) use chrome.storage.sync. If you have Chrome Sync enabled, Google syncs these between your own signed-in browsers, as it does with your bookmarks. They contain preferences only — never extracted rows.
• Saved lists (the extracted rows themselves) use chrome.storage.local and stay on that one machine. They are never synced and never transmitted.

Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it. You can also delete any saved list from the panel at any time.

Permissions, and why each exists

Children

The extension is a business tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information about its users at all.

Your data rights

We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. The data you extract is yours, on your disk, under your control.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version ships with the extension update and the date above changes. Since we hold nothing, a change here can only ever be about what the extension does on your machine.
